Past Educational Meetings Recordings Available:
June 28th Summer Quarter Educational Meeting - Rebecca Hurwood EDS and Acupuncture
Recording available- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DcfhHsYe22M
April 26th Spring Quarterly Educational Speaker - Dr. James Kundart, OD on EDS and Eye Health
Dr. Kundart is an EDS savvy Portland optometrist and associate professor from Pacific University in Forest Grove who has been talking about EDS and eye health for a few years. We are glad to add him to our ranks for knowledgeable providers and learn about our eyes. Recording available- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vo2HXgMq4Io
January 25th, Winter Quarterly Educational Meeting - Dr. Ann Childers, EDS & Nutrition featured Portland area psychologist Dr. Ann Childers who has great nutritional training also and insight into how everyone can improve their health and diet, with a special focus on the needs of Ehlers-Danlos patients. We learned a lot about the evolution of our modern diet and its effects on everyone, and how a high protein, high natural (grass fed and finished meats, coconut and avocado oils) saturated fat and nutrient dense (think colorful veggies) diet can help everyone in many ways, including psychological. Dr. Childers also happens to have Classical type Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome herself, and spoke from personal, encouraging experience. We were able to video this meeting, and truly do hope to get it out online or on DVD sooner than later if possible. Meanwhile follow Dr. Childers' blog here: http://annchilders.blogspot.com/

OR EDS Organization
We plan to begin meeting monthly in the 2015. Alternating Support Group and & Educational Meetings on the 4th Saturday of the Month unless otherwise noted. All meetings will be lead by a moderator volunteering from the OR EDS Board.
We will hold social events about twice a year in the Spring and Summer. All meetings will be announced here and in our closed Facebook group as well as in our Monthly Zebra Newsletter you can subscribe to here .
To join our closed Facebook group, The Official Oregon Area Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Support Group, click the JOIN button on that page and answer the questions. A diagnosis not required but we would prefer our closed group be for those with EDS or suspected.
If you would like to show your support for a family member or friend who has EDS and you would like to stay up on news and upcoming events please feel free to like our Oregon Area Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Public Page on Facebook.
The Board holds regular meetings which are normally closed to the public, except for one per year.
